UB city’s policemen improve their English language skills in preparation for tourist season. Ulaanbaatar city Tourism Department organized second annual English language training for the police officers in the scope of “Friendly Ulaanbaatar” program for promoting tourism. The training aims to remove the language barrier for ensuring security of foreign tourists, preventing crimes and resolving offense cases immediately on the spot. Involved in the training were some 50 police officers who work in most crowded and tourism oriented areas of the Ulaanbaatar city.
